The design was made by Nathan Crowley and the Batpod was built by Chris Corbould (special effects). There were six of these machines built so there would be back ups following crashes and any accidents that may occur. The Batpod is not navigated with the hands of the driver but the shoulder is used instead. The engines are in the wheels and the tires are 20 inches. Batman, when riding is lying forward on the tank. The tank is adjustable for the dodging of gunfire—the rider can duck down. The Batpod went through extensive months of testing for safety before used in The Dark Knight film.

I’ve been wanting to archive some HDTV recordings, so I’ve been checking out the latest options for HD DVD recording.
I’ve been looking into hd dvd player recorders. They look like a good option for archiving high def video, which is just what I need. Plain old DVD doesn’t cut it any more.
I’ve narrowed down my search to Blu Ray Recorders, I think. I was worried about the whole Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD fight at first, but what with dual standard players coming out, I don’t think it will be a problem.
