Dedicated T1 Line for Data Transfers

I’m getting frustrated with shared bandwidth situations in my area. I don’t know if most of the people on my switch are constantly downloading torrent movies or what but the data transfer lag becomes unbearable. I might go ahead and order a dedicated T1 line despite the cost. I think that the lack of frustration I’ll encounter when conducting business transactions and stock trading online will make up for the difference in price between what I currently have and a T1 leased line. I might even be able to partner up with some associates in my area to mitigate and split the cost using some multi-point solution.

Downloading Music With A Dsl Upgrade

I’m a big music fan. Outside of playing music, listening to music is probably one of my favorite things to do. If you are a music lover there is no place better to get music than the internet, and it has been like that for a number of years. I remember getting so frustrated with how long it took to download even a small music file, until I got a dsl upgrade. Gone are the days of 30 minutes download times for a 3 megabyte file. 30 minutes of course is if your connection stays at a constant level or cuts off altogether, if that happens you had better be prepared to wait a whole lot longer. I was thinking about running a Linux-based music server in my house (running sbc dsl linux for speed and simplicity); now I can connect it to the Internet at high speed and download music directly to the server.

I was talking with a friend the other day and she mentioned that she is going to upgrade her dsl account. She has two children and wants to get the system up to speed by Christmas. With winter well and truly setting in, this is a great way to keep the kids occupied. There are also many great deals being offered by service providers. I had been using the same website design package for years, and it has done me really well, since I’ve been able to design some really good looking websites with it which have not aged at all. However, I was noticing that there were a few functions that were missing from my package, and therefore I decided to upgrade to a Professional Website Software package, which would enable me to add full functionality to my websites including video, and sound files. At first I wasn’t sure if I really needed all these kind of things, but now I have them I think I will find it really difficult to let them go.
