Locate Wireless Networks on the Go
Filed Under Computers & Technology :: Networking | Leave a Comment
It took me about three years longer than anyone else before I agreed to give up my wired computers and allow a friend to install a wireless home network. Once I went wireless, however, I loved staying connected on the go.
But, I complained to m friend that it was a pain trying to located wireless hot spots where I could connect. He had a solution for that, too. He installed Wireless Network Sniffing Software on my computer.
Now I’m able to quickly locate wireless networks no matter where I am, and I’m feeling like quite the cutting edge techie these days.

One of the coolest things to come out lately is the new Wireless Network Bluetooth set ups. These are designed for close range wireless connectivity of components, and some can reach as far as a room (but not a whole house). Other setups use hops i.e. a device that takes and bounces the signal and amplifies it to the next room or next hop device. Bluetooth is a much more secure security network which is why it’s being used, but it also has a clearer more digital signal than other wireless setups. Bluetooth is starting to become an amazing technology (already is).

My Personal Experience With Wireless Internet Cards For Laptops

So lately I’ve been wondering about Wireless Internet Cards for Laptops.
I’m sick of staying indoors all the time. I’d really like to get out more. I think wireless broadband can help.
I’ve been researching Laptop Internet on the Internet. There are some good choices out there.
I think the ability to get out of the office and get things done outside is worth the expense for sure.
Watch this space.

I’ve got a bee in my bonnet lately about Cat6 Cable.
I need to learn how to deal with RJ-45 cables myself, since I don’t have the budget to hire IT staff to do it.
It’s hardly a nightmare scenario to learn about Cat6 wire, but still, there are other things I’d rather be doing.
What the heck, I’ll probably enjoy drilling all those holes and running all that cable.
Until next time.

Learning About Finding A Wireless Broadband Laptop

Alright, I’m sick of working at home. I’m going to go crazy if I stay boxed up here any longer. Time to get a wireless broadband laptop so I can work in cafes and actually be around other people.
Laptop Wireless Connection must be the best thing since sliced bread. Don’t know how I ever got along before. The freedom to work just about anywhere - it’s intoxicating. Meeting a lot more people and getting a lot more sun. All to the good.
I think I might work in the park tomorrow - bring the dogs along. Ain’t it the life, though?
What do you think?

Seriously, I can’t imagine why it took so long for Wireless Internet For Laptop Computers to become popular. Working from anywhere - what’s not to like? It’s like having a new office every day. So much nicer than the depressing cube I used to be stuck in.
Imagine it - a web developer with a tan and a social life. Shocking.
Ok - that’s it for today.

Looking Into Using A Wireless Laptop
Filed Under Computers & Technology :: Networking | Leave a Comment
I really need a
wireless laptop. One more day-long stint working in my lightless cell of an apartment might just send me over the edge. It would be much better to get out and work in a cafe or some other internet hotspot.
I honestly don’t know how I got along before the invention of The Wireless Laptop. Now I can work anywhere. Being able to work from home is great and all, but it gets old fast when there’s no one around to keep you company.
Where to work tomorrow? Starbucks? The library? The park even? So many choices.
More on this soon.

When you have a wireless network antenna booster, you are going to want to make sure that you have some kind of firewall set up on your wireless network. That is because you are not going to want extra people trying to connect to your network. After you boost your range on your wireless network, you are going to notice that a lot more people are going to be able to find it with their wireless equipment. To make sure they stay off of it, you are going to want to set up a firewall to keep them off of it. This is a good thing to do if you are a small business and you do not want other small businesses using your single.
