We really need to overhaul our information security strategy. I’m concerned that our data is vulnerable to attacks from the outside. Our network just isn’t secure.
So naturally I’ve been researching Computer Data Security on my own, hoping I can find a way to sell the idea to the execs. Perhaps a scary news story will wake them up
I don’t have much choice, since I’ll be the one to take the heat if a breach does occur, even if management continues to refuse to fix the situation.

There are two options for you to hire security services to do a network security analysis on your systems. You can either call them in one session at a time, or you can hire them on a contract basis and get their services for a whole year or so. If you are contracting them, then they will conduct an elaborate network security analysis at scheduled intervals, which is generally one month. If you call them freelance, then they will come on call, and then it is you who will decide how far apart you have to keep the two appointments. If you are running a big organization, then it obviously advisable to have a contracted service, so that you can have them at hand in case there is any emergency in the security of your company network.

Biometric identification is no longer the technology only found in science fiction. Modern biometric identification systems analyze personal physical attributes and distill them into a series of numbers. Biometric identification shows great potential for patching internal holes in our security infrastructure. Biometric identification is typically used to replace the passwords that we struggle with today. Biometrics is a highly developed science that draws upon human anatomy and physiology, and uses the fields of physics, mathematics, engineering and computer science to achieve rapid and positive authentication of individuals.
