When doing your cheap wedding planning it is worth noting that the majority of your budget will be taken up by the wedding reception so one can immediately reduce their costs by reducing the number of guests attending. Try and keep your guest list to a minimum: ask yourself if you really need to invite family members that you haven't seen for years. Other cost reductions can be achieved by changing where the wedding reception is held; it could take place at a friend's house or at a local club, where money could be saved on drinks if they are supplied directly.
